Cades Cove is within the Great Smoky Mountains. The Cove’s 12-mile loop offers some of the best opportunities to see white-tailed deer, elk, black bear, raccoon, turkeys, woodchucks, and the beautiful remnants of the early mountain settlers. Scattered along the loop road are three churches, a working grist mill, barns, log houses, and many other faithfully restored eighteenth and nineteenth-century structures.

Donald Brown and Toni Lovejoy have extensive experience photographing at Cades Cove. Both are proficient in the technical and creativity it takes to make award-winning pictures. Lucky us that they’re taking us along and sharing their skills! We will be photographing iconic shots and unique spots, allowing you to expand your technical skills and your ability to express your unique creative vision. On Saturday evening, there will be an optional session experimenting with light painting and astrophotography.
