NEW PARTNERSHIP!

The Light Factory is collaborating with SouthPark Church (TLF@SPC) to bring local photographers’ work to their gallery in the new space across from SouthPark Mall and the Morrocroft Harris Teeter. There will be exhibitions, artist talks, and community conversations held here. Both TLF and SPC are committed to fostering relationships through the arts.

Michael Maxwell is a counselor, a photographer, a connector of people, a loving husband, and also a good friend.

de’Angelo Dia is not only a spoken word poet, a painter, a photographer, a theologian, a teacher, a father…but he is also an incredible person and our friend.

Sonder: Michael Maxwell

Michael Maxwell’s art is the first exhibited at the new, modern SouthPark Church location. His work is perfect for this. Both The Light Factory and SouthPark Church have formed an alliance since our missions are both about building community through the arts. Michael’s body of work called Sonder is about common humanity, “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.”

de’Angelo Dia and Michael had a virtual artist conversation earlier that is now on our YouTube channel, now that we can actually get together in person, we have scheduled two community conversations at SouthPark Church led by Michael and Dia.
