Non-Traditional Cyanotype

The Cyanotype is one of the oldest forms of Photography! In this course, students will be learning how to make a non-traditional Cyanotype, often referred to as a “Wet Cyanotype.” We will use wet chemistry along with other additives to create complex and interesting works! Students will be using Botanicals as the subject matter. They will learn different methods of application, as well as, talk about different papers that can be used.
This course is 2 sessions. In the 1st session, students will see demos and set up their own Cyanotype. In the second session, we will wash and dry prints and talk about how to scan to create a digital copy.
Mert Jones is dubbed the “Queen of Cyanotypes” for good reason! Mert will put Cyanotype on just about any material and she loves to push the process!
Cancelation Policy
The Light Factory reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule courses to adjust for enrollment and to change course instructors when necessary. If The Light Factory cancels a course for any reason, each registered participant will be informed as soon as possible and will have the opportunity to transfer to another course.
Fees must be paid at the time of registration. You must cancel a minimum of five days before the course start date to receive a refund. No refunds will be made for canceling on the day of the course or after the course has started.
The Light Factory does not offer make-up courses or tuition reimbursement for student absenteeism. This policy applies to all students of all ages, including adults.
