Cyanotype on Photos
Cost: $50
Cyanotype is one of the oldest photo processes. It’s also a lot of fun! In this course, you will use a photo, digital print, or alt process print to transform your images by adding cyanotype chemistry!
Mert Jones has been working with different methods of application and process using cyanotype on prints to push this process from its intended use. This course starts in our print lab, where you will be printing the images to work with. And, will finish in the darkroom where Mert will guide you through her experiments and allow you to experiment on your own prints!

- To experiment with the cyanotype process
- Digital image files, scanned image files or darkroom prints, alternative process print
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy
Cancelation Policy
The Light Factory reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule courses to adjust for enrollment and to change course instructors when necessary. If The Light Factory cancels a course for any reason, each registered participant will be informed as soon as possible and will have the opportunity to transfer to another course.
Fees must be paid at the time of registration. You must cancel a minimum of five days before the course start date to receive a refund. No refunds will be made for canceling on the day of the course or after the course has started.
The Light Factory does not offer make-up courses or tuition reimbursement for student absenteeism. This policy applies to all students of all ages, including adults.
