Intro to Digital Photography:
See Like a Photographer

Current Instructors: Michael O’Neill, Scott Stallings

Cost: $150 Members, $175 Non Members

Did you get a camera for the holidays? Do you want to learn how to use the camera you already have? This Crash Course is meant for you! We will help you get to know your Camera!! In this short course, you will look at camera function and beginner photography concepts. We are packing in the info for this 2-hour course. Your head may be spinning after this high-intensity class.

    • Start with an assignment that helps you to use light and composition to begin extending your vision
    • Master the creative controls of exposure and practice with another assignment to apply what you have learned
    • Use shutter speed to express motion and using aperture to create dramatic selective focus
    • Receive valuable feedback from your instructor and fellow students.
    • A digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera or a mirrorless camera (with manual controls)
    • The manual for the camera (if you have it)
    • At least one empty and formatted memory card for your camera
    • A journal or notebook

Cancelation Policy

The Light Factory reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule courses to adjust for enrollment and to change course instructors when necessary. If The Light Factory cancels a course for any reason, each registered participant will be informed as soon as possible and will have the opportunity to transfer to another course.

Fees must be paid at the time of registration. You must cancel a minimum of five days before the course start date to receive a refund. No refunds will be made for canceling on the day of the course or after the course has started.

The Light Factory does not offer make-up courses or tuition reimbursement for student absenteeism. This policy applies to all students of all ages, including adults.
