Workshop + Demo Series
Week 3 & 4:
Cyanotype over Inkjet
Wednesdays + Fridays
July 29 – August 7 / 6 – 7 pm
Instructor: Hamilton Ward
Cost: $40 Members, $55 Non Members
Add a little color to those Cyanotype blues with the Cyanotype Over Inkjet Printing Workshop. A fun marriage of a 19th-century photographic printing process with some modern-day color!
We’ll be looking at a beginner’s workflow, from creating digital negatives all the way to the finished archival print! We’ll be discussing the various options for Cyanotype chemistry, dim room setup, and paper choice. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the skillset and knowledge to take your digital images and bring them into the physical world in a beautiful and unique way.
This workshop can function for those of you who already have the proper equipment, or for those people just curious to dip their toes into the alt process world.
. . .
Our newest online learning program, the Alternative Processes Workshop + Demo Series, is a choose your own adventure experience. You have two options, take the series as workshops or as demos. Throughout the series, each instructor will provide a materials list so you can gather what you need to join in like you would if participating in a workshop. Or, you can skip the materials list and tune in for a demo-like experience. Either way, you’ll learn a little something, meet photographers and enthusiasts interested in alternative processes, and can ask all your burning alt process questions along the way.
