Alternative Processes
Workshop + Demo Series

Week 5 & 6:
The Wet Cyanotype

Wednesday, August 12 / 6 – 8 pm
Saturday, August 15 / 1 – 3 pm
Saturday, August 22 / 1 – 3 pm

Instructor: Mert Jones
Cost: $40 Members, $55 Non Members

What is the “wet cyanotype”? This is a creative spinoff on the traditional Cyanotype process, allowing the elements of time, happy accidents, experimental additions, and processing the image while the cyanotype chemistry is still wet rather than dry. This is an incredibly fun, experimental process that will meet three times—one Wednesday evening as a workshop/demo followed by two Saturday afternoons that will be workshop/online studio time! You can take one or all three! We will be supplying you with an optional materials list, which will include some spices and natural things right in your own home and backyard.

All ages are welcome!

Our newest online learning program, the Alternative Processes Workshop + Demo Series, is a choose your own adventure experience. You have two options, take the series as workshops or as demos. Throughout the series, each instructor will provide a materials list so you can gather what you need to join in like you would if participating in a workshop. Or, you can skip the materials list and tune in for a demo-like experience. Either way, you’ll learn a little something, meet photographers and enthusiasts interested in alternative processes, and can ask all your burning alt process questions along the way.
