DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, you will learn how to develop and print black-and-white negative film in the darkroom. Participants will gain hands-on experience developing film in our lab using provided chemicals. The workshop will also cover the history of the darkroom and the origins of film photography. Please come prepared with one to two rolls of pre-shot black-and-white film\, as there will be no time allotted for shooting during the session. This class is designed for beginners with little to no prior darkroom experience.

Now in its third year\, Titus and The Light Factory continue to support another group of emerging photographers\, this time embracing a diverse cohort that includes Black\, White\, LatinX\, and LGBTQIA+ identifying artists. Over the course of the 10-month program\, the mentees were encouraged to think outside the box in creating a body of work\, learned how to articulate their vision clearly\, and cultivated a lasting community of photographers for mutual support.
