Youth Classes and Summer Camps

The Light Factory is one of only four museums in the country that celebrates both mediums of photography and film.  That means your child has the unique opportunity to learn how to express him or herself using the most powerful mediums of our time!  The Light Factory offers week-long, half-day camps for Grades 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 in all aspects of photography and filmmaking. Kids will learn to operate and express themselves with digital cameras, SLR cameras (single lens reflex) and digital video cameras.

Projects in Schools
Each year The Light Factory partners with schools all over North and South Carolina to promote media literacy and self-expression to their students using photography and filmmaking.  These programs are offered free or at minimal charges to the students, due in part to your support.  Invest in Outreach to continue this exceptional programming.
