Brian Ulrich, who was featured in The Light Factory's exhibition Food For Thought (2008), and Amy Stein, who's work is currently in TLF's The Romance of the Road, have a show together at the Caption Gallery in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn, NY. The title of the exhibition is Instruments of Empire, and runs through March 25, 2010.

The Light Factory announces Chief Curator Dennis Kiel, Education Director Charles Thomas, and Associate Director of Education Jen Crickenberger will attend the 2010 National Conference for the Society for Photographic Education. The conference will be held March 4 - 7 in Philadelphia.
Mr. Thomas and Ms. Crickenberger have been selected to give a presentation on The Light Factory's award-winning Outreach program.

Charlotte, NC – The Light Factory Contemporary Museum of Photography and Film announces the six winners who will be exhibited in the museum’s Second Juried Annuale. They are Lisa K. Blatt (San Francisco, CA), Allen Bryan (Saugerties, NY), Chris DeMarco (Albany, NY), Greta & Manu Schnetzler (San Francisco, CA), Christopher Sims (Durham, NC), and Kimberly Witham (High Bridge, NJ). The Annuale will run July 11 through September 6, 2009, in the Knight Gallery.

Charlotte, NC – The Light Factory announces the next exhibition in the 2009-10 schedule, “Group f.64 and the Modernist Vision: Photographs by Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Willard Van Dyke, and Brett Weston.“ The exhibition features works from the Bank of America Art in our Communities program which makes art from the bank’s collection available to museums nationwide. The exhibition will open September 17, 2009, and run through January 3, 2010, in The Light Factory’s Knight Gallery. The exhibition is free and open to the public, as is the opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
