The Light Factory Paparazzi

The Light Factory Paparazzi are film and photography enthusiasts who seek ways to connect art and creativity with everyday life.

Paparazzi fulfills our mission by providing a dynamic member experience that includes educational, volunteer, leadership and social opportunities aimed at:

*  Raising Awareness of The Light Factory’s exhibitions, films and educational programs.
*  Supporting The Light Factory through volunteerism and attendance at events.
*  Providing a platform for sustained financial giving.

The Light Factory Paparazzi enjoy the benefits of membership and invitations to exclusive events. We strive to offer monthly in-depth experiences that cultivate appreciation for our members. Exclusive “behind-the-scenes” events, private tours with curators, panel discussions (one example – “how to collect photography” – given by Gabrielle Larew at DOMA gallery) and partnerships with other museum affiliate groups give Paparazzi members a more intimate approach to The Light Factory.

Exclusive Paparazzi Events:

(Just a few examples):

(1) City Block Project – 24 hour documentary contest designated to one block per year

(2) Annual Paparazzi Pre-Auction Party – the ONLY pre-auction party (before The Light Factory’s Annual Auction) that offers the attendees a “sneak peak” at all the artwork which will be auctioned off

(3) “Sip and See” – One featured artist brings his or her work to a wine bar, and an intimate cocktail hour and discussion takes place, allowing participants to view the work first hand and ask the artist questions.

(4) Lectures and Workshops: The art of Collecting Photography; Creating the perfect Holiday Card; Intro to DSLR “mini-class” given by TLF’s Director of Photography
