Learn to maximize your Digital Point and Shoot or Digital SLR cameras with this basic digital photography course. Students will learn the basic functionality and features of their digital cameras. The instructor will also give students an overview of f-stops and shutter speed, file types and demonstrate how to download images into image manipulation software such as Photoshop. Students will also be given tips on how to improve their images through color balancing for different lighting situations. Students are required to bring their digital cameras, manuals and all accessories to each class. Students who participate in this program are encouraged to enroll in the Spring Semester Digital Photography II course.
Digital Photography II Program Description:
Students will learn how to push the basic functionality and features of their digital cameras for creative effect through in class and at home photography assignments. Students will learn how to organize and process digital files. In addition, this course will further explore the use of Adobe Photoshop to manipulate to edit, tweak, and layer images. Students are required to bring their digital cameras, manuals and all accessories to each class.
