Join us in celebrating the release of Micah Cash’s first book, Dangerous Waters: A Photo Essay on the Tennessee Valley Authority. The three-year project, collected by University of Tennessee Press, documented the physical and social ramifications of Tennessee Valley Authority’s hydroelectric dams. Hosted by The Gallery at C3 Lab, this special exhibition of photographs explores the architecture, public space, and ecological disruption of TVA’s hydroelectric dams. The exhibition features over 40 photographs from the book, many exhibited for the first time. The event also features roots-inspired live music from The Witness Marks, Post-Timey String Band and The Boomtown Waifs. The book includes 70 full-color photographs with accompanying text by the author and was published by University of Tennessee Press in the fall of 2017. Signed copies will be for sale.
