UNC Charlotte’s College of Arts & Architecture, SPESE and The Light Factory teamed up for an exciting student portfolio review event Saturday, April 9, 2016. It was such a fun day, buzzing with photographic portfolio reviews by professors and professionals for college and university students across the Carolinas. There was incredible work by young photographers being reviewed in two categories: commercial and fine art. There was even a cash prize for “Best Portfolio” as determined by the reviewers in each category.
We would like to thank everyone who participated!

This portfolio, Woman of the Tulle, has become a huge stepping-stone for her. It has helped her build confidence in herself and her photography. This portfolio shows how every woman is different and unique, but that what ties all women together. She had each woman come in hair and makeup of their choice and wrapped them all in black tulle. Darbey was thrilled to learn that she won best portfolio against so many other brilliant photographers!
